Courses

Being an affiliate for a course is a great way to go.

That’s what I have done below, in my first recommendation.

If you have taken any courses, you may want to see if they have an affiliate program.

More than likely, they will.

This is a great way for beginners to start their affiliate marketing.

Plus, it’s easier for you to sell when you can talk about your own experiences.

Now, I know some people say to make your own, but I look at it this way;

If you were to start with a $5 product, it’s gonna take a lot to make some profit.

Promoting someone else’s course, you should at least make $20. Possibly more.

You are going to earn more money by doing that.

And you don’t have the responsibility of unhappy customers.

This is just my opinion, but I feel this is a great way to start out.

So, here is an affiliate course that you can check out.

Affiliate Marketing Course

If you are new to affiliate marketing you may want to take a course on it.

This is a course from Blogging Like You Mean It.

I have taken this course.

If you don’t know the first thing about affiliate marketing, this is a great course.

Click the link below and check it out!

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing For Bloggers.

This course has 37 lessons teaching you how to monetize through affiliates.

It’s very beginner friendly and super easy to follow.

As a newbie, you can be using methods that you know have worked.

Because she teaches you her own proven methods.

Your not just guessing or (trying it out) and hoping that you are doing it right.

Of course while new, you will make mistakes, just don’t let earning money with affiliates be one of them.

There is nothing like earning that very first commission.

No matter where it comes from or how much it is, it will have you flying high.

Affiliate Marketing For Bloggers.

Okay so now moving on.

What is an Affiliate?

If you are completely new, you may not even know what an affiliate is.

An affiliate is when you promote someone else’s product and earn a commission from it.

Now there are a ton of things you can affiliate for.

Really, just about everything you can think of.

So, you can imagine how stressful it can be choosing the right one.

Some will say not to worry about affiliates or ads, create your own product.

While that is one of the best ways, it not really great for beginners.

You can start off with affiliate marketing from day one.

It still may take a while to earn an income, but the potential will be there.

Promote Trusted Products

You don’t want to promote a bad product.

This could ruin trust you may have with your visitors.

It looks bad on you when it’s not even your product.

So, it’s really best to promote a product that you have used and trust.

When you promote a product that you like, readers can tell it in your story.

It shows in your writing when you like a product.

You’re able to explain it better and inform your readers of how it can help them.

There may even be something you don’t like about it, write about that too.

You want to be honest and share your opinions.

Affiliate types

You can choose products that are physical as well as digital.

Just as there are different products there are different types of companies.

Some companies are like programs that have many companies within it.

It’s kinda like a middleman. An example would be having Wal-Mart, Meijer, and Target all in one place.

You join the main company, then only choose the ones you want to represent.

Maybe you want Target, but not Meijer. You can pick and choose.

Then there are some companies that you join individually.

This would be like affiliating for Kohls without a middleman.

While this may seem better, I think it’s more work.

When you can have a lot of them in one place, it’s easier to keep track of.

Plus, most places won’t pay out until you reach a certain amount.

In the beginning, this can take a while.

If you are using the middleman, you may be able to reach that mark quicker.

Also, let me add that if a company has a middleman they usually won’t affiliate individually.

You have to join the company they go through to affiliate for them.

And finally, you can even affiliate for small businesses.

Maybe you took a course from a blogger that you liked really well.

A lot of times they will have an affiliate program for it.

Reach out to them, let them know you really liked their product and would like to promote it.

Now knowing that you can promote just about any product you want

How do you figure it out?

It can really become overwhelming. I certainly feel ya.

Let me just say, I searched high and low before I began.

You read this article and that one.

Trying to find companies within your niche.

One person will tell you this is the best, another will say don’t use them.

Before you know it, you have spent days trying to find the right way to go.

I just want you to know that I understand how you feel, I have been in your shoes.

My recommendations are always based upon things I have used.

And I know it’s hard to trust in the words of someone else.

If you want to continue to do your own research. Go ahead. I don’t blame you.

But if not, you can get a list right here.

I have done the research for you already, and plenty of it!

So, below are some companies that you can get approved for right now.

ShareASale

This is my first recommendation. Sign up for them right here ShareASale.

Most of the companies that I use are through here.

Now, this is like one of those middlemen.

You can join this program even as a beginner.

I didn’t have any problem joining this company right after I started my blog.

ShareASale has a lot of major companies within it.

You won’t have a problem finding someone to represent, no matter what your niche is.

They have companies such as Dollar Tree, yes you can affiliate even for the Dollar Tree.

Almost everyone I know uses the Dollar Tree. Everything’s a Dollar!

But anyway, they have Tailwind, Optin Monster, and PicMonkey.

Now I know these are mostly blog niche.

But they even have Wayfair, MyPillow, Reebok, and Sally Beauty.

The list is endless.

So, as you can see they represent something from every niche.

Ultimate Bundles

My next recommendation is for Ultimate Bundles.

While they don’t have a lot of bundles at one time, they are definitely worth joining.

What they do is bundle up a bunch of products and offer them for way less than they are worth.

If you have been around for a while you may have heard of the Genius Bloggers Toolkit.

It had over 77 products worth over $5800. And they sold it for $97.

That’s the type of bundles they offer.

While they are usually for a limited time only, they offer many different ones throughout the year.

And they cover a wide variety of topics.

But the value you get out of them is amazing.

It’s worth joining even to buy yourself a bundle because as an affiliate you get a discount to purchase your own.

Go ahead and check them out! Sign up here to become an affiliate.

SiteGround

My next suggestion is SiteGround.

You probably want to affiliate the web hosting you use.

Of course, I use SiteGround, so it’s on my list.

I like SiteGround and did plenty of research before choosing them.

They have a lot to offer such as they can handle a higher traffic volume,

I found they have the best customer service, and they have a higher speed or page load time.

This was just a few reasons I chose them, of course, I have a whole post about them.

You can check it out if you are still looking for web hosting or looking to change.

Find it here How to Choose Web Hosting.

They have a great payout, but it’s a little harder to sell as a beginner.

Creative Market

I absolutely love Creative Market.

But they can kinda be niche specific.

They offer many different products for design.

Their products range from fonts, templates, and graphics.

If you can add these products into your website, I highly recommend them as well.

One of the best things about Creative Market is that they offer 6 free different products each week.

Every Monday they will change their free products and you have all week to download them.

This is great for promotion.

You can advertise the free product, and still, possibly make a sale.

Plus they make it very easy to promote any of their products.

Share them on Pinterest and Facebook right from their website.

JV Zoo

Jv Zoo is another program that’s like a middleman.

Their affiliate program is for digital products.

While they have an endless list of products to choose from, they are more niche specific.

It may be harder to find something to promote depending on your website.

If you do want to offer some digital products this is the ultimate place to go.

Email Marketing Providers

I had some trouble deciding on an email provider, so I actually affiliate for a few.

They all offer really great features. You kinda have to try them out to see which one fits you best.

This is another affiliate where you usually promote the one that you use.

My top recommendations for them are;

Drip

They offer a free two-week trial. Drip is also free up to 100 subscribers.

This company has many features to offer. It’s perfect for those in e-commerce.

Get Response

They offer a free one month trial. Get Response offers a lot of great features.

It’s an all in one platform.

Plus, you will get a recurring commission with their affiliate program.

Aweber

Aweber offers a free 30-day trial.

The best thing about Aweber is that they offer every feature from day one.

Even on the smallest plan.

You also earn a recurring commission with them as well.

Include Disclosure

This is very important!

Always make sure that you disclose that you earn a commission from affiliate links.

You also want to make sure that it is plainly stated before the link appears in your blog.

Usually, a disclosure is at the top of the page. That way it’s always seen first.

Some people put it right before their actual link.

I’ve even seen some at the bottom of a post.

Do Not Make This Mistake!

My disclosure is automatically added to the beginning of every post that I write.

Then I don’t have to worry about whether I need it or not. It’s always there.

Don’t trust just putting *affiliate, as I have seen on others.

Include a statement that clearly says you will earn money if they use your link.

You can even add a link in your statement to a full disclaimer if you like.

Hopefully, this helped you get started with affiliate marketing.

Get out there and promote your products and make some money.
