If you want your target audience to find you while searching online, you must utilize SEO.
Basically, this is done by using keywords.
Do some keyword research to find out what keywords will drive the most traffic.
Then you need to use those words or phrase within your post many times.

Knowing what’s working and what’s not lets you make changes to help increase traffic to your site.
Make sure your website is optimized for Google also.
You can do this by making sure that your site is mobile friendly.
In other words, make sure it looks good from a phone.
Everyone has a smartphone, and most people use it for everything.
Some themes are not mobile friendly.
Make sure yours is!
I know I am able to choose different devices to see what my site will look like from them.
Example: mine has a desktop, a tablet, and a phone option for me to choose from.
Don’t be slow.
Your page needs to load fast.
It is essential for ranking well on Google and making sales.
People will not wait around. If it does not load fast, you will lose traffic.
Just a one-second delay will make a difference.
And a few seconds will have a huge impact on your site.
I know having a lot of plugins will slow down your load time.
Delete any plugins you have that you don’t need.
If your page is still loading slowly you may need to change web hosting service.
In that case, I recommend using SiteGround. ‘
I have a post: Help Choosing Web-Hosting if you want more info about them.
Making sure that your website is well organized will also increase traffic.
You are creating it for your audience and you want it to be easy for them to use.
It should be well written and be beneficial to your viewer.
Making sure they can easily find what they came for could keep them coming back.
Getting it looking good and running well are both very important.
You want to keep your viewers on your site as long as possible.
Pinterest is a great way to increase your traffic.
Almost every blogging website I have been on uses Pinterest.
That is huge! It is the number one way a lot of people promote their blog.
This post on Pinning with Pinterest can help you get started.
If you are not using Pinterest you are missing out on a great opportunity to increase your traffic.
Pinterest has over 200 million users.
It drives millions of visits to other sites every day.
And it’s not just an app for recipes or DIY.
Like I used to think. “But that may be your target audience anyway!”
So, how great is that? Pinterest is actually a search engine.
It’s kinda like Google with Pictures.
And it’s users are more likely to have disposable income.
More and more businesses are using it every day. Are you?
Facebook can also be a great way to increase traffic.
Simply add links that lead people to your website from each post.
Another thing you can do is to create a post telling about your website and pin it to the top of your page.
This way it’s the first post that people see when they enter your page.
Posting at certain times will also help.
You can find out when most of your fans are most active under the insights tab under your account.
Then use this info to help schedule times for you to post.
Add calls to action throughout your content.
Get people to like your page and share your post.
Sharing is the best way to increase your audience.
Then, of course, there are things like ads and campaigns.
Those can be great ways to increase traffic, but you have to have the budget for them.
If you have money to invest this can be a great option.
Another great way to use Facebook would be to join Facebook groups.
This will dramatically increase your audience.
It’s also a great way to engage with others who have been where you are.
Someone may have some great advice on something you are struggling with.
Just make sure to find ones within your niche.
And be sure to check out the rules for that group and follow them accordingly.
Other Social Media
Whether it be Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, or any other social media sites, you need to be a user.
Social Media is the best way to gain a huge audience.
A bigger audience equals an increase in traffic!
Find out which ones work best for you and get involved.
You can use ones you are familiar with or try out some new ones.
They will take a big investment of time to fully benefit from any of them though.
So try not to do all of them at once.
I have found that I benefit most from using Pinterest and Twitter.
But, remember, everyone is different, and blogging about different topics.
So, they may not be your best option.
You may need to give different things a try.
Commenting on other blogs can help increase your traffic too.
Just make sure you are not spamming. Be sincere and encouraging.
You want good relationships with those within your niche.
And leaving a positive comment can help to create that.
It puts you out there in front of their audience as well.
Plus, it doesn’t have to be a big well-known blog either.
Sometimes it’s best to try commenting on newer or smaller blogs.
They may be more likely to return the favor or come and check your website out.
There are many ways that you can increase your traffic.
Give some of these a try and see which ones work best for you!
Good luck gaining that traffic!
